Term 2- All the things!

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to welcome everyone back from the teaching break period and let you know about what is happening in Term 2.

First up normal screenings resume tonight! And we’ll still be meeting this Friday even though it is a public holiday.

Secondly this Saturday (26th April) we are hosting the Canberra videogame tournament Canberra Colosseum 5! It will run from 10am-10pm in the MCC Foyer, with the Tournaments starting at 11am. There are some entry fees that vary depending on what games you want to play. And it is a Battle Arena Melbourne 6 qualifier for those competitive gamers amongst us.

Thirdly, next Friday (2nd May) will be a Pizza Night!! Come along and get some delicious free pizza. We will also be selling some super cheap softdrinks. So come along and get a good feed as well as watching good anime/playing good games!

Fourthly- Wednesday the 7th of May will be a special screenings night with CiT Students. We will be playing a few special things includes two OVAs from the Young Animator Training Project.

Lastly- GAMMA.CON Tickets are now on sale and everyone should go- it is going to be an awesome event!.Also the GAMMA.Squad are looking for volunteers to help out on the day so if you want to help Canberra’s pop culture convention be awesome you should volunteer.

Also we’ve been sent a request by a researcher from the University of Queensland for people to partake in some videogame research:

Teaching Break screening schedule and Term 2 preview

Hey everyone,

Just a quick email to let you all know that we will be continuing to meet over the teaching/Easter holiday break. However we will be taking a break from most of our normal Screenings except Full Metal Alchemist and having a couple one off specials over the two week period. The precise schedule is as follows:

Plus the Monday night videogames are continuing as normal.

Also as a quick preview for the rest of Semester 1 you can look forward to a pizza night, a special screening event with CiT, GAMMA.CON, possibly a Karaoke night and a few other surprises.
