ANUAGS Bush Week Screenings!!

Hey everyone,

Holidays are over and semester has started again, which means it’s time for Bush Week Screenings! This week, we’ll be screening the following movies, both sponsored by our friends over at MADMAN:

On Wednesday 23rd July at 6pm, we’ll be following up on our semester 1 O-Week screenings with the second Ghost in the Shell Movie, Innocence.

The heavily cyborged police officer Batou, newly partnered with the mostly-human Togusa after the diappearance of Major Motoko Kusanagi, is assigned to investigate a series of murders committed by prototype “sexaroids” – female androids created for sex. (Synopsis from myanimelist.net)

That’ll be followed on Friday 25th July at 5pm by Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos, in accordance with our Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood screenings.

A fugitive alchemist with mysterious abilities leads the Elric brothers to a distant valley of slums inhabited by the Milos, a proud people struggling against bureaucratic exploitation. Ed and Al quickly find themselves in the middle of a rising rebellion, as the exiled Milos lash out against their oppressors. At the heart of the conflict is Julia, a young alchemist befriended by Alphonse. She’ll stop at nothing to restore the Milos to their former glory – even if that means harnessing the awful power of the mythical Philosopher’s Stone. (Synopsis from myanimelist.net)

Thanks again to MADMAN for letting us screen these two great movies.

Look forward to it! お楽しみに!
